Jana Kramer and her Scottish soccer coach boyfriend Allan Russell have announced their engagement after six and a half months of dating.
On Thursday (May 25), Kramer announced her news on an edition of her Whine Down podcast, and she also revealed some specifics about how the proposal went down.
Russell chose a lovely, close-to-home proposal with Kramer's two children, 7-year-old Jolie and 4-year-old Jace.
"He took me and the kids and said, 'It's a beautiful night, let's go for a walk up to the new house,'" Kramer recalls.
The singer's new home is now under development and will be completed in August. When they arrived at the new house, the kids ran around and
went upstairs to view their new rooms before the family gathered on the front porch.
"It was a really beautiful night, and we were all sitting on the front porch steps, looking out at the view," she says. "He said my name, I stood up, and then he got down on one knee."
What was about to happen was obvious to the singer's daughter. "Jolie began to hop up and down. Kramer recalls, "It was the cutest thing ever."
