Katy Perry pays $11 million for a penthouse in Los Angeles.

Katy Perry may be leaving "American Idol," but she's still a "California Girl"—she recently signed a contract for a $11 million home in Los Angeles' Sierra Towers.

According to public records, the 38-year-old pop artist purchased a "junior penthouse" at the Hollywood Hills skyscraper last week through a limited liability corporation that shares an Encino, California, address with another LLC of which she is the director.

According to property records, Jen Kao, the daughter of millionaire Garmin inventor Min Kao, was the sale. She paid $9.3 million for the home in 2016.

According to the listing with the Agency, the property is roughly 3,000 square feet with two bedrooms and three bathrooms. According to the website, the mansion was first advertised in January for a little less than $12.5 million.

The penthouse, which is located on the top floor of the 31-story structure, has dark-wood flooring and wood accents throughout, according to listing images. This includes built-in shelving, a wood-framed wet bar, and kitchen cabinetry made of wood.

The main space has a semi-open concept, with a dining room adjacent to the kitchen and living room, which has floor-to-ceiling windows that lead to a deck with views of the city and mountains in the distance. A dark red home theater is also available.Rodgers has a favorite Taylor Swift song and music video.

Perry, who is presently doing a residency in Las Vegas, has recently been in the spotlight for apparently pondering ending her six-year stay on "American Idol," according to The Daily Mail.

She isn't new to the real estate market. According to Mansion Global, she sold a Beverly Hills house for $18 million last summer. It's just one of the pop star's big-ticket transactions.

Perry's representatives did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
