Kelly Clarkson says the move of her daytime show to New York was "100%" her decision.

Kelly Clarkson claims she wanted to move The Kelly Clarkson Show from Los Angeles to New York to be closer to her family in North Carolina and to start over.

The singer and presenter of The Kelly Clarkson Show appeared on TalkShopLive recently, where she spoke with Nancy O'Dell about her new album Chemistry and creating her post-divorce record.

During the approximately 40-minute chat, she also hinted that she would bring her abilities to Broadway as she relocates to the East Coast.

However, it wasn't until around halfway through the interview that Clarkson responded to a question about her decision to transfer the daytime program to New York.

The musician and TV personality will now film at Studio 6A at NBC Studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, as reported earlier this May."I even talked to my crew back in January about [this],"

she said, breaking up as she broke the news. "Obviously, we've been incredibly successful, and I adore everyone I work with, and we have such wonderful connections,

so I spoke to them because I was like, 'Guys, I need you to know what's going on.' Either I won't be able to continue with the performance, or I'll have to travel to the east coast."

Clarkson noted that the pandemic played a role in her decision, as she was isolated and separated from her family in North Carolina.
